Wales has a long historical link with the Southern African country of Lesotho.
The registered charity Dolen Cymru has been supporting education, health and cultural links between the two countries for over 25 years.
This programme provides an opportunity for qualified teachers in Wales to access a unique opportunity to work in a developing country working and to develop their professional skills as teachers. Successful applicants will spend 5 months working in Lesotho and 1 month working in Wales.
This programme is funded by the Welsh Government and aims to contribute to Welsh teachers’ continuing professional development. The programme is in its seventh successful year and we are currently recruiting for teachers and NQTs to participate in the 2012/13 programme that starts in January 2013.
