JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to provide structural design support for projects, meeting bu! dgetary, quality and time frame targets.
RESPONSIB! ILITIES:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering medium projects or components of large projects, taking responsibility for structural design, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Providing both leadership and technical guidance to project team members and direct reports.
- Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you are responsible, including calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and studies.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects.
- Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the Client to keep informed of all developments associated with the project.
- Being familiar with, and compliant with, relevant H &! S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Hyder.
- Relevant degree, working towards Chartered status (preferably MIStructE or MICE)
- Experience in structural design including: water retaining structures, slabs, piles and foundation design.
- UK Water Industry experience
- Contractor Client Design and build experience
- Good motivation of team members to achieve a quality output
- Ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner to produce contractor sympathetic designs
- A good understanding of REVIT Structures, ROBOT and MasterSeries
- Knowledge and experience of design to Eurocodes
