Our client is looking for an Insight Analyst to provide analytical support and to assist in strategic decision making within the Media function. The Analyst will be responsible for delivering relevant, timely and accurate insights and recommendations, via reporting and analysis, ensuring the quality of data is sufficient for analytical purposes.
The Analyst will ensure the continual optimisation of online and offline media buying through segmentation, selection and targeting to make recommendations to shape and improve future activity.
Key responsibilities include
- Using industry tools and data sources to derive insight to inform media planning.
- Being responsible for analytics both within and across all channels including Search, TV and Email.
- Measuring and benchmarking campaign effectiveness using appropriate statistical techniques.
- Segmenting and profiling the customer base to allow more effective direct c! ommunications.
- Critically understand the activity of ! Marketing stakeholders and their KPI’s, recommending changes to analysis and reporting to better assist them.
- Coach and mentor other members of the department to carry out necessary and sufficient analysis to make informed decisions on all aspects of the business.
- Proactively identify business opportunities via the reporting and analysis produced, and make recommendations based on those findings.
- Present analytical subjects to internal and external stakeholders, delivering clear recommendations sufficiently to influence decision makers.
- Be proficient in the use of MS Office 2000 or later, and have advanced knowledge of Excel
- Have previous experience of SAS (highly desirable), good TSQL scripting skills (or prior use of BI tools (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, SSAS, SSRS) would be beneficial)
- Be logically minded with a numerical degree at 2:1 or above in Statistics, Mathematics or Op! erational Research.
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within marketing/ campaign analytics.
