My client is an international leader in rail infrastructure engineering projects and the UK's largest rail engineering and services provider. They offer a full range of rail infrast! ructure activities from high-speed rail to mass rapid transit, covering urban, rural and commuter routes, for both public and private railways.
Role
Working on one of the AFA projects based in South Wales.
We require a Sub Agent to work on the AFA project we have won in South Wales. Initially involved in the planning of the project the Sub Agent will then move on to the job to run the project under an agent.
The Sub Agent will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of projects by managing a team of Engineers / Foremen and/or sub contractors. Specific responsibilities include;
The delivery of contract to agreed programme.
The implementation of the Project Management Plan.
Leading by example, ensures compliance with industry and company standards and plans HSEQ into all work activities.
Determines adequate competency levels of personnel as required for the efficient delivery of the project
Ensures contract is achieving Operation! al Standards.
Control of all contract cost, monitoring cos! t vs value constantly.
Effectively utilises all plant and direct labour resources
Develops a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensures all personnel are fully briefed on working in a safe manner.
The Individual
Extensive experience ideally gained within a Civil Engineering / Rail infrastructure environment.
HNC / Degree in a Construction / Civil Engineering related subject.
Holds the Personal Track Safety (PTS) card
Package
Up to £37,000 per annum
