At Parkinson’s UK, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our series of cycling events across! the country this summer. At each event there are three distances for cyclists to chose from â€" 50-60 miles, 20-30 miles or a family friendly 5 mile route.
The Llanelli event starts at 9am and there will be approximately 175 cyclists taking part to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
Volunteer shifts of four hours will be available throughout the day from 8am â€" 4pm for a variety of roles, including marshalling the route to help keep our cyclists safe. You need to:
Be personable and friendly with a positive manner, to cheer cyclists on as they pass you
Be committed and responsible, with the ability to communicate details to members of the public
Have a basic level of fitness as most roles involve standing for long periods
We'll provide reasonable travel expenses, lunch, and a Parkinson's UK t-shirt to wear on the day. We’ll also send detailed notes and fully brief you on the day.
