A locum Specialty Doctor required to the end of September 2013 initially
We are keen to recruit a Psychiatrist with an interest in inpatient care and experience of working in psychiatric intensive care and/or intensive rehabilitation. We have recently opened a new psychiatric intensive assessment and care unit, staffed with an enthusiastic mutlidiciplinary team of which the postholder will be a core member. Responsibilities will include the assessment of patients referred into the service, and taking a lead in the development and implementation of care and treatment plans including psychological and pharmacological interventions, as well as providing support and advice to professional colleagues. The postholder will be actively supported in developing further expertise relevant to their practice, and an interest in audit and research is positively encouraged.
The post is full time (10 sessions pe! r week) with additional sessions for contribution to the out o! f hours rota.
