About your role
We served more than 11 million people last year, from our award-winning cafes and elegant restaurants across England , Wales and Northern Ireland . We’ve 150 of them in total in beautiful, unique loc! ations, so you can see that catering’s a big thing for us â€! " and for every one of our catering teams, who work in catering outlets across our portfolio of properties within North Wales . As our Area Catering Manager, you’ll take the strategic lead for catering within the portfolio, as you oversee the management of our catering outlets in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy Town , to include Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle . And in doing so, you’ll ensure that we continue to run a profitable business which delights every customer who visits us.

Full of bright catering ideas, and with a commercial mindset, you’ll look at how we can further develop the business and where we can take it, from our developing our existing outlets to new hospitality opportunities within each Property. From mouth-watering local and seasonal produce to an attentive service and little touches that make a big difference, your catering know-how and painstaking attention to detail, will ensure that your team is fully trained and motivated to deliver an un! forgettable experience for every customer. Through directly line managing the catering supervisors at each outlet, you’ll ensure that we remain focussed on providing the highest levels of customer care. What’s more you’ll ensure that high standards of food preparation and health and safety procedures are at the heart of everything we produce; whether it’s a hot meal, scrumptious sandwich or a hits-the-spot cup of tea. We’d also like you to take responsibility for the financial control of our catering operation across the region. In doing so you’ll keep our budgets under control, keeping costs down and increasing visitor spend.

About you
You know everything there is to know about great catering â€" you’ve the experience and the HND level catering management qualifications (including an Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate) to prove it. Alongside a stro! ng commercial acumen, you’re used to working with people of all ages ! and backgrounds and you love the buzz of being at the heart of a busy, often high pressured catering environment. You’ll also have the drive and vision to develop our offering and position our catering outlets across properties in North Wales as an essential part of any visit. You’re great with people too, and you’ll have plenty of experience in managing and motivating a team. Alongside communication skills which are second to none, you know all about cost control, margins and budget management and you’ll have a passion for providing the highest levels of customer care. We’d also like you to have managed a multi-site business before and if you have a First Aid qualification, that’s even better. With a willingness to take a hands on approach, you’ll also be well organised and able to work on your own initiative. A full driving licence is also required for this role.
