Due to a vast, nationwide project being due to commence we are looking for project managers, programme managers and senior programme managers for our client, who will provide project management and technical expertise to the project. The Role
Job Overview:
The Project Manager / Programme Manager is responsible for the following key activities: -
- Managing the project schedule, identifying the critical path issues and developing mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Project Risk Management, identification of risks and mitigation action plans.
- Development of effective working relationships with Customers, being the central point of contact.
- Leading a Project team of internal stakeholders, the Project Manager will motivate, take accountability for actions taken and develop a team working approach.
- Project Financial Management, disseminating costs /budgets to internal departments and tracking of these costs to the budget.
- Identify project changes to the original scope and create Change Requests for approval internally and externally, in order to maximise profit. !
- Provide project forecasts for completion of equipment, services, cash milestones & margin.
- Understand the projects contractual requirements and ensure the business adheres to them.
- Participate when required in departmental improvement projects, highlight areas for improvement.
- Provide reporting information for both internal and external use (customer specific reports) on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Participate in & run internal or external project review meetings
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
- Degree qualified (e.g. Engineering / Business) or equivalent experience in a project management role.
- Experience of nuclear or process industry EPC projects.
- Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills.
- Experience of project planning and cost control management
- Presentation and negotiation skills
- Problem solving ability.
- L! eadership skills to include ability to motivate colleagues to achieve o! n-time delivery.
- PC skills to include, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word & SAP knowledge preferable.
- Understanding & experience of contracts & terminology
- Have the initiative & ability to work by themselves and as part of a team.
