You will be a Staff Nurse (RGN or RMN) seeking a permanent opportunity in an Elderly Nursing and Residential Home in Swansea, South Wales. My client will consider Newly Qualified Staff Nurses and they are willing to help you complete your preceptorship. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Newly Qualified nurse as my client offers to help you complete your preceptorship as well as offering on-going training through the in-house qualifed nurse teacher.
The home in Swansea has exceptional facilities having been renovated to provide a state of the art luxury nursing home setting and was rated highly in the last CQC inspection. As a Staff Nurse you will work 3 long days a week.
Within the role you will be undertaking the following duties:
- Providing and supervising the delivery of high standards of care to residents within the nursing home
- Undertaking supervision of all staff in your team ensuring safe and high qualit! y practice is given
- Administering medication and moni! toring and observing for any side effects
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans
- Using inter-personal skills to reassure distressed clients and communicating with relatives
- Dealing with residents with complex needs
- Experience in a similar setting
- A Registered General Nurse (RGN) or a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
- Current registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
