Acting as an agency on behalf of my client I am seeking an experienced Nuclear Waste Management Engineer to be based on a long term contract in North Wales.
My client is a well know nuclear specialist organisation, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete project lifecycle.
Candidates must have the below experience in order to be considered;
- Relevant experience in nuclear industry in areas of waste management
- Experience in developing waste inventories together with records management Knowledge of environmental issues including practices, poli! cies, legislation and stakeholders relating to radioactive and non-radioactive waste management.
The successful Nuclear Waste Management Engineer will be responsible for providing a quality and responsive waste management service for the decommissioning projects and site infrastructure in order to secure compliant disposal of waste volumes and assist the execution of key waste targets delivered from the projects.

Rate: £Attractive
Location: North Wales
Working hours: 4 days a week Monday to Thursday 07:25 to 17:00 hrs (37 hrs a week)
Required Qualifications
HNC/HND or equivalent technical qualification (NQF Level 5) in a scientific, environmental or engineering discipline
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong academic background and have developed an area of specialism within radiological waste manage! ment
A full UK drivers licence is essential for this position as travelling between offices may be required.
Required Experience
At least two years relevant industrial experience.
Preferably able to demonstrate experience of operating as a 'specialist' in the production of radiological waste management studies and assessments.
Depending on project requirements, the post holder may be required to become a Classified Worker.
Security
Successful applicants will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.
