Panels and Profiles is a downstream business ! within Tata Steel based at the Shotton Site. The business sells "Envelope" and "Structural" products predominantly into the construction industry. The product range is the most diverse in the market place with an offering including structural roof and flooring decks, built up systems, composite roof and wall panels, flashings and associated products.
We are currently looking to recruit Section Engineer â€" Mechanical to support the operations team by performing necessary repairs; undertaking preventative maintenance activities and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, quality and productivity are optimised. Providing specialist technical activities associated with the electrical/electronic/ computer/instrumentation equipment.
The incumbent of this role will typically be qualified to minimum HNC level in an appropriate mechanical engineering subject and must have a wide experience of the ! works processes and control systems. You must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to safety.
We are looking for an engineer who is competent in the operation of computer systems and have proven experience of engineering systems and techniques. You should also have experience of planning engineering activities and directing personnel. Experience in steel forming equipment would be desirable.
We are looking for an individual who has:
- Ability to demonstrate qualities of flexibility, initiative, drive and commitment.
- The ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales.
- Good all round education with strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
