My Dog Spot is an award winning, well known Pasadena dog walking company. We are looking for a weekday dog walker to join our team. We are a small company with a friendly, family-like business culture. Our success and reputation comes from the long term relationships we make with our clients. For this reason we will only hire candidates that can commit to working for 6 months or longer.
We are looking for someone that can commit to a MON - FRI schedule time ranging between 8.00am to 1.30pm
Responsibilities and Duties
- You will be driving from one visit to the next using your OWN car according to a schedule set by the Company.
- You will be walking leashed dog/s for a defined period of time either within the dog’s neighborhood or at a specified location.
- You will carry out each visit according to the instructions/guidelines set out in the app.
- You may have to transport dogs from one activity to the next in your car.
- You may have to supervise dog park visits with more than one dog in attendance.
- You may be asked to hike with more than one dog at a time. (Never more than three)
- You may be required to walk more than one dog at a time (never more than three)
- You will be required to report any potential doggy health issues that you may come across during your day
- You will be required to report any equipment malfunctioning that you may come across in your work
- You may be asked to pick up or drop off key, lockboxes, walking equipment, and/or other supplies
- You will, at times, be required to engage with clients in a professional manner
- You will be required to practice safe handling methods at all times in accordance with the Company Handbook
Necessary Requirements
- You must have your OWN reliable, registered and insured car with a valid license. No borrowed or shared cars.
- You must have a smartphone with photo/video capacity and GPS. You must be able to download and run more than one app.
- You must be punctual and organized as time management will determine your success in this job
- You must be able to provide above standard customer service
- You must be willing to work in all kinds of weather; heat and rain.
- You need to ok with getting dirty
- You must adhere to COVID safe health guidelines at all times
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience as a paid dog walker preferable
- Previous experience with a rescue organization.

We take the health and safety of our walkers extremely seriously. We require you to wear face masks at all times, and to sanitize your equipment (provided leashes) after every appointment.
