The Ball Room Sports Bar is a very busy and popular sports bar based in the centre of Dunfermline.
We are looking for an experienced, hard working Bar Supervisor to join our team!
This position involves bar work, making sure customer service is at the top of its game, keeping an eye on what's cooking in the kitchen and getting involved in the kitchen if required, making sure pool and snooker tables are at high standards and generally assisting with the daily smooth running of the bar!
As a supervisor you will:
- Do general bar work - serving customers, stocking up, housekeeping and cleaning the bar areas, taking orders & working in the kitchen if required.
- Greet customers with a smile and some banter at our reception, placing them on Pool/snooker tables & providing the correct equipment needed.
- Open & close the building solo
- Cash handling/EON cashing up & safe counts.
- Placing food and drinks orders with suppliers.
- Keep BOH and FOH areas clean and tidy to a high standard.
- Coaching and training the bar staff under you to be the best they can be.
- Working weekends especially Saturdays is a must.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 1 years bar experience
- Have at least 1 years supervisor experience in a similar environment (hospitality)
- Have at least some interest in national and local sports, or be willing to learn about all the sports we offer and show!
- Be hardworking, trustworthy and passionate about people.
- Be able to take initiative and work alone/run a shift well when a manager is not present.
- Have experience of working in a kitchen (not essential)
