Control / Automation Software EngineerKEYWORDS: electrical, control, software, automation, PC and PLC based systems (preferably Mitsubishi and Omron control hardware platforms), digital and analogue interfacing, control systems, servo and stepper motor electrical control, laser processingControl / Automation Software EngineerThis is an opportunity to join an exciting company specializing in design, development and integration of laser systemsThe JobYou will be responsibilities for hands on design and build of discrete event industrial automation control systems, focused on complex motion control systems incorporating servo and stepper motor electrical control hardware and programming software.The main part of the role will be developing PC and PLC based control systems, but you will also be required to perform some basic digital and analogue interfacing techniques and serial communications for systems integration.You Will need;Degree/HND in electrical/control/software/automation engineeringStrong development experience of PC and PLC based software control systems (preferably Mitsubishi and Omron control hardware platforms),Sound working knowledge of digital and analogue interfacing techniques and serial communications for systems integration.Good knowledge of automation control systems and complex Motion control systems incorporating servo and stepper motor electrical control hardware and programming software and how these relate to the dynamics of the controlled mechanical hardware .Electrical control hardware design using electrical CAD packages, preferred but not essential,An appreciation/interest in laser processing , optics and precision mechanical engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.
