About the role
We’re busy streamlining the way we work and improving the way we deliver support services to our special places and spaces. And that’s where you come in. You’ll be part of ou! r business support team, helping to ensure their continued smo! oth running.

You know admin processes inside-out and you’ll be a vital support to the team here at the Isle of Wight . A champion of best practice business support, advice and expertise, you’ll be on hand to advise and guide staff while maintaining efficient records, responding to regular email enquiries and arranging travel and meeting requirements when needed. You’ll also assist the line manager with specific tasks and projects as requested. And because you’ll always have the bigger picture in mind, you’ll be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

In this role you work 15 hours per week on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

About you
Organised and customer-focussed, with great communication skills, you pride yourself on delivering clear, consistent and constructive business support. Su! pport that has a real impact on the way people think and work. You’ve plenty of practical experience and up-to-date knowledge of business administration and processes and you’ll have a formal vocational/professional qualification in Business and Administration at level one (or equivalent). Enthusiastic and knowledgeable, your organisational skills and attention to detail are great and you’ll always be there to offer a helping hand when needed. We’d also like you to have advanced IT skills, and a good understanding of financial systems and procedures. Most of all you’ll have an active interest in the work of the National Trust and will know all about conservation and the environment.
