This is a technically challenging role where you will be working in a niche market place with no two days the same.
My client specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of a market leading product that is used across a very broad spectrum of industries within the market place. They enjoy the benefits of being a very niche business with very few competitors; they offer a great internal training programme where you will be brought up to speed on the processes and equipment used.
In this role, the successful Project Engineer will follow projects through from inception to completion. This will involve meeting customers and assessing the viability of their requirements, then pricing them up and forming proposals. You will then liaise with customers and the engineers on the ground to ensure a smooth process. Once completed, you will be involved in the final sign off and commissioning as well as running on site health and saf! ety assessments.
This role would ideally suit someone! who is looking to progress and develop a career with in house training provided.
The role:
- Based at Swansea (70%) and travelling to customer sites (30%)
- Running pilot plant demonstrations at Swansea and customer site
- Pricing up and forming proposals for new projects
- Assessing the viability of any new projects
- Sourcing materials and equipment
- Involved in the final sign off and commissioning of new plants
- Degree qualified (Engineering or relevant scientific degree)
- Based within a commutable distance of Swansea
- Previous experience in project or process environment
- Experience of commissioning new systems and plants
- Conversant in design packages
- Conversant in MO packages especially excel
