Working under own initiative the role will undertake ad hoc project work as required. Typical projects will relate to materials usage and equipment efficiencies, the approval of new products processes and machinery process commissioning. The successful candidate will also be required to provide on a rota basis, out of hours support including limited on site working at weekends during which they will be the principal contact.
The successful candidate will be qualified ideally to degree standard, or a minimum HND in an appropriate Engineering discipline. You will have significant experience in the manufacturing process and be able to demonstrate an understanding of cable manufacturing methods and techniques in addition to a sound theoretical engineering knowledge.
You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and work at all levels. A high level of drive and energy are required to achieve objectives whilst ensuring standards are maintained.
This is a hands on role working within a high volume manufacturing environment, requiring a good level of analytical and problem solving skills
