Generous package c. £40-45,000 (depending on experience) including an excellent commission scheme and car allowanc! e, invitation to join their private healthcare (Bupa) scheme as well an invitation to join the group pension scheme. Up to 33 days holidays per annum including public and Bank holidays.

Now looking to recruit a mobile Optometrist in West Wales, covering several stores with most locations situated in picturesque market or vigorous rural town centers, with a mixture of old families, new residents, professionals who want to escape city life or commuters who are happy to travel miles to work and enjoy the pleasure of residing there.
These modern and friendly practices will offer a dedicated and qualified experienced support team, usually consisting of approximately three to five staff including a Qualified Dispenser and/ or ! Practice Manager who can work autonomously and believe in offe! ring a highly professional and dedicated service.
Although commercial our clients reputation and superior service doesn't require aggressive marketing campaigns. They are looking for Optometrists who are patient focused and interested in their work and love what they do
The Role:
- You will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of the business by ensuring high quality standards in services
- On an average day you could administer between ten and twenty eye examinations, each lasting approximately 20 to 30 minutes
- The company also boasts an extensive contact lens range
- You will be expected to attend other stores within a reasonable distance of your base branch and working hours are typically nine to five thirty, Monday to Friday and nine to five on a Saturday with one day off in the week, all stores are open on Bank holidays (employees would be given time off in lieu).
- examining the eyes of patients of all ages to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality and defects in vision
- communicating with patients to get detailed case histories, offering a clear and detailed explanation
- meeting sales targets with regard to selling glasses and contact lenses
- undertaking continuing education and training (CET)
The successful candidate will ideally have two years experience as a qualified Optometrist, however those who are newly qualified would also be welcome.
- You will need to be motivated, work well within a team environment, be confident in approach, professional, dedicated to offer a quality service and driven.
- The ability to demonstrate good communication and listening skills are also paramount as you will be communicating effectively with a wide range of people from all walks of life.
- This role would be ideal for those who are currently fru! strated in their work as they are not able to offer the service they wo! uld wish to or are looking to realise their full potential in a supportive and caring company.
- Welsh speakers are desirable however this is not essential
