They will ensure customer requirements are met by managing standards. Assured Safety and Security " The GSM will be the ambassador of safe working practices within their geographical area. This will be achieved by effective management and development of their team ensuring that any breaches of safety or security are quickly and effectively resolved. They will champion behavioral changes to achieve Zero Harm.

The GSM will ensure that all accident and incidents are fully investigated in a timely and professional manner. The GSM will deliver all tool box talks and health and safety messages, and record in the appropriate manner. Technology Enabled Performance " The GSM will fully support, embrace and comm! unicate the benefits of any existing and new technology to bot! h customers and their team. The GSM will ensure that all reports and information are fully communicated within their geographical teams.

Real Environmental Contribution " The GSM will ensure, through careful management of materials and consumables, that waste is minimised and used effectively. Who will this role work with to achieve excellence? • FM site employees including Cleaning & Office Management operatives. • Customer • Regional Managers • Regional Directors • HR, Payroll and other Head Office support functions • Operational Support Team What needs to be done in this role to achieve this?

  • Contribute to the delivery of the regional financial business plan. Ensure the service in their area excels both in terms of customer service, customer satisfaction, and quality. Create a culture that embraces change. • Directly manage a defined number of sites and operatives within their area.
  • Effective planning and utilisation of r! esources to ensure consistent service provision. • Work alongside the Regional Manager to manage the Profit and Loss account for the area. • Work within budgets, closely managing over time, materials and consumables. • Manage the standards of service delivery in Cleaning & Office Management to meet the contractual obligations.
  • Manage the performance of the team, including Profit and Loss and KPIs against standards. • Coach and develop the team of FM operatives to ensure that they perform to their maximum potential. • Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies, promoting and champion Zero Harm. • Work as a cohesive team with the Regional Manager to deliver a consistent service to ensure best practices are shared and driven throughout the region.
  • Regularly engage with the customer to develop and manage relationships and expectations. • Ensure that all audits within their geographical area are completed correct! ly and in a timely manner, and action plans are implemented. • Ensure! that all CSI within their geographical area are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and action plans are implemented. • Improve productivity within their geographical area.
  • Identify ad hoc work opportunities and ensure the correct costing model is used for the contract. What technical knowledge, skills and experience is required? • Proven experience of managing a team within soft FM services industry. • Detailed knowledge of cleaning methods.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple sites. • Ability to build relationships with key customers. • An understanding of health and safety and Zero Harm. • IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, or ability to develop expertise.
  • Ability (or aptitude to develop skills) to cost and estimate work. • Good organisational skills.
