At their location in Cardiff they are looking to fill the position of production supervisor;
The purpose of the role is to o-ordinate and control production within a given cleanroom/packaging area and monitor efficiencies to ensure that all work performed complies with documented procedures and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
Fully support Manufacturing Engineering and R&D in introducing new products into manufacture.
- Ensure on-time completion of daily/weekly production targets and shipments to satisfy the delivery and quality requirements of the customer and/or design.
- Monitor and update the production schedule to suit customer demand to the availability of resources.
- Ensure that materials are managed effectively and securely at all times and that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained.
- Motivate, t! rain, support and coach Team Leaders and permanent and tempora! ry Manufacturing Team Members.
- Ensure training records are accurate.
- Monitor performance, time keeping and attendance of Team Leaders, and Manufacturing Team Members.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of Temporary Manufacturing Team Members when required.
- Ensure reject analysis records are kept up to date and rejects are passed onto the engineering team for analysis.
- Check all documentation is completed fully and accurately.
- Raise non-conforming reports as and when required.
- Monitor and record air pressure differentials within the controlled environment.
- Ensure line clearance is carried out effectively.
- Complete work orders using the Oracle system.
- Communicate any production concerns or issues to the Production Manager.
- Promote an environment of continuous improvement, flexibility and teamwork and encourage in others lean manufacturing practices.
- A good general standard of education to include basic numeric and IT skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; both written and oral.
- Knowledge of MRP systems.
- Experience in line balancing and efficiencies.
- Two years’ experience of working in a high volume regulated manufacturing company.
- Works with personal integrity, customer focus, taking accountability.
- Excellent team supervisory skills as well as strong team working skills.
- First Line Management appropriate qualification and/or previous experience.
