As one of the country’s most innovative food manufacturers, this business enjoys an excellent relationship with their customers - working closely with category teams to ensure new and exciting products continue to tempt us. To ensure the smooth delivery of its future growth plans, they are now looking to expand the NPD department with the appointment of an experienced NPD Controller to help spearhead the team.
You will need to have experience of developing own label chilled products, ideally at the premium end of the market, and enjoy the challenge of combining food innovation with commercial viability. With an obvious passion for food, you will thrive on pushing boundaries in terms of products and processes and have a track record of succes! sful range extensions.
The brief here is about keepin! g ahead of the competition whilst delivering budgeted margins â€" so you will need to demonstrate the principles of category management and consumer awareness in order to achieve that competitive edge. As you will be working very closely with retail developers, your influencing and interpersonal skills will need to be strong. Man management experience is also preferred, as you will be responsible for motivating and developing a team of NPD professionals.
