We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer (personnel officer) to work in this large and well respected manufacturing company.
The main purpose o! f the HR Officer role is to provide a comprehensive and pro-active day-to-day Personnel service to site management and employees to maintain consistency with regard to Company and Statutory requirements.
Duties of the HR Officer role include:
- Collect, collate, analyse and distribute key information related to employee aspects of the operation
- Ensure that the site follows standard Company and Statutory procedures in all aspects of employment
- Provide recruitment support to site managers including advertising and interviewing and the provision of analysis of effectiveness of programmes and publications
- Identify opportunities for improvement in Personnel and people management procedures and suggest related improvements
- Identify opportunities for the transfer of people management skills to the line managers and follow up with appropriate actions and documentation
- Provide support and guidance to Managers an! d Supervisors with regard to the Company Disciplinary and Grie! vance procedure.Attend disciplinary meetings as and when appropriate.
- Collect and collate wages / hours data and send accurate information to wages in line with reporting timetable
- Ensure that all employee records are maintained in line with Company and Statutory requirements
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant internal and external departments and employees
- Ensure that new employees attend appropriate induction and occupational health training and maintain full and accurate records
- Attend and input into the HR meetings and pro-actively contribute to Group wide HR programmes and projects
- Ensure the Personnel Manager / Senior Personnel Officer is kept informed regarding sensitive people issues in a timely manner
- Maintain and develop knowledge and skills related to the Company, Statutory requirements and best practice
In return, my client are offering a starting salary of £19000 pa, working Monday â€" Friday.
