WE ARE PLEASED TO ! INVITE CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE, ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT AN EXPERIENCED MENTAL HEALTH NURSE / LEARNING DISABILITIES NURSE WITH EXPERIENCE IN WORKING WITH PERSONALITY DISORDERS.

Role:
To provide quality nursing care of the highest standard, providing patient’s rights and confidentiality are safeguarded. Assist in the auditing of individual programmes of care on a regular basis making the provision of a safe and secure, but homely environment t! o all patients and visitors to the unit.
Successfu! l candidates:
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care
- To work within the multi-disciplinary team
- To lead the nursing team on a daily basis with support and guidance from the Clinical Nurse
- Assist in the providing, monitoring and supervising quality nursing care
- Act as mentor to junior staff and students when the need arises
- Promote good relationships with other members of the team, patient, relatives and visitors
- Maintain discipline within the clinical area, informing the CNS or designated deputy of any deviations from the accepted standards
- Plan and deliver therapeutic, occupational, educational and recreational activities for all patients
- Ensure effective handovers and regular staff meetings are held
- Administer drugs in accordance with agreed hospital medicine policy
- Registered RMN / RNLD
- Direct patient care and service delivery
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
- CPA/ CM
- Effective time management
- Ability to organise own and others workloads
- Ambitious, Hardworking, Positive, Enthusiastic
- £24500 - £32000 Depending on experience
