VP Software Architecture and Development
My c! lient; a leading organisation within Financial Services are currently seeking a VP of Software Architecture and Development to join their development headquarters in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organisation and have the responsibility and technical leadership for an onshore and offshore engineering team.
The candidate will be expected to manage growth and development within the team as well as ensure the technical elements are taken care of whilst implementing standards and governance measures to ensure the coding quality.
Acting as the point of escalation for software architecture and development leads you will oversee the application configuration and platform deployment as well as all support facilities.
To be successful in this role the VP of Software Architecture and Development should demonstrate experience in having managed multiple teams across multiple geographical locations, have proven exper! ience in software architecture design and have an in depth und! erstanding of the full software development cycle.
Practical experience with J2EE and the ability to use MVC and ORM frameworks are required for this position. An understanding of web services (REST/SOAP) is a distinct advantage.
