To develop and deliver effective digital and offline communications (coreand partners) for the direct protection channel (core and direct partners), meeting business growth targe! ts within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the marketing team in delivering an integrated marketing plan, achieving the APE target for all marketing channels within budget and/or target cost-per-sale.
2. Build constructive working relationships with internal colleagues in particular Head of Sales, contact centre management and new business areas.
3. Support the Sales & Marketing Director to drive growth of the L&G market share of the direct market and growth of the direct protection market itself through identifying and developing clear through the line marketing strategies.
4. Work with stakeholders to develop the direct protection proposition for core & partners to include:
a. Identify unique, scalable & profitable customer segments within the direct protection market.
b. Define product requirements according to each unique direct customer segment.
c. Develop propositions for each segment
! d. Develop effective propensity models that identify and targ! et key customer segments and the right mix of channels to market to them.
e. Negotiate with the product development and pricing areas to enhance/maintain/develop products including features/pricing/processing & literature based on defined requirements.
f. Recommend new direct product development opportunities where appropriate, based on research, environmental scanning, targeting requirement, identified & unique customer need.
5. Represent the direct channel and therefore input into all strategic projects impacting direct channel.
6. Work with the Head of Sales to support enhancements to customer journey - actively seek to improve customer experience through marketing, process and/or system improvements.
7. Deliver a best of breed integrated on and offline experience for direct protection and partners (including customer experience, acquisition costs, conversion rates and ape growth)
8. Regularly review the competitive e! nvironment (local and international) to identify new trends and opportunities in the market. Evaluate & comment on any new competitor products. Impact analysis on environmental threats & opportunities.
9. Provide marketing input, including developing bespoke marketing strategies, into tender documents in order to acquire new direct partners
10. Develop digital capability to deliver customer awareness, content and tools to improve customer engagement and to support sales conversion
11. Use management information, including distribution quality indicators to ensure the design and operation of marketing activity and sales processes are reviewed to take account of any relevant feedback and drive life-time value.
