Payroll Implementation Project Manager

E xciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Project Manager to manage a number of key implementation projects over the next 18 months. The business are investing heavily in ICT development and also! implementing a number of legislative requirements due to changes in Pension provisions. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of Real Time Information software, Pension auto enrolment and a new database that supplies payroll related information for the UK business.
Responsibility for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organisations business goals
Ensuring effective payroll reporting process is established to meet management and statutory accountancy standards
Management and administration of cyclical activities such as salary review, bonus payments, P11d and annual PSA return
Leading and monitoring key relationships with third parties, such as HMRC, NgA (payroll system provider);
Management of the smooth transfer of payroll information to Head Office, and to ensure parallel processes and quality of work are maintained between site and group payroll teams.
Full reconciliation of the payroll prior to BACS sign o! ff for net payments to employees and deducted payments to third parties
Identify any disruptions to the payroll process or non compliance with payroll procedures and ensure corrective action is taken
To ensure that payroll is always operated in line and compliant with current statutory and legislative requirements and to ensure knowledge on such areas is kept up to date
To perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Skills/Experience required
Experience of successful implementation of system based projects
Experience of managing a payroll team / department
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, spreadsheet uploads)
ResourceLink and My View experience is essential.
Outstanding rigour and attention to detail
Strong communication skills are essential as the role involves close liaison with the HR & Finance teams
