We are the largest privately-held pub operator in the UK and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team at Stonegate.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a live-in General Manager at The Cross Keys, a typical village local in Dinas Powis, which is a relatively affluent location near Penarth on the borders of Cardiff. It is a lovely old traditional inn, divided into several areas, bar/lounge/snug that all interconnect. Trading at close to £10k per week with a 20% food mix. It’s a great locals pub, with food, real ales and activities such as pub teams, quiz and charity events. It is full of character and a popular meeting place for people of all ages. The successful General Manager will be someone wh! o loves to be part of and central to village life-integrating ! into the community and offering the warmest of welcomes as a friendly host in the best village local. You need to be able to offer a good food service alongside and in balance with a vibrant pub for the drinkers. You need to show experience of building sales and reaching out to new and lapsed customers as well as satisfying the existing locals. It would suit a good local’s manager looking for a new challenge in a most pleasant village community.
You will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order tocontrol, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
