The team will build on the successful relationship that has been forged between scientists, the fishing industry and the Government on the Isle of Man resulting in MSC accreditation of the queen scallop fishery in 2011. Experience of stock assessment techniques (finfish, scallop, crab and lobster fisheries) would be advantageous. You will also have a track record of innovative research that would indicate your ability to execute a science programme to improve the quality of advice in relation to sustainable fisheries. As the post-holder will line-manage a dedicated research assistant, hence evidence of developing and managing junior staff is desirable.
