Procurement Officer

We are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer who will support the Procurement team in the implementation of the responsible procurement framework and relevant procurement initiatives across Metropolitan, including contracts re! gister, purchase to pay, supply requirement analysis and tenders.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team at our Southgate office. This is a comprehensive and varied role whereby you will act as the key support function to the Head of Procurement. Your main responsibilities will include; providing support to the team in preparing tenders, providing reports to be submitted to senior management and researching to inform supply chain and procurement strategies. You may also be required to provide system support for the I-Procurement system on an ad hoc basis.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to effectively manage their own workload. Experience within a procurement department is highly desirable but not essential, however we are looking for candidates to demonstrate a solid understanding of procurement processes.
We are looking for candidates who have a good standard of IT literacy and are confident in producing report! s. Knowledge of the Oracle I-Procurement system will be highly! advantageous.
