Our clients are part of a highly successful international global manufacturing group with an established and developing South East Wales based industrial manufacturing plant. They now have a vacancy for experienced Design Engineer
Main Duties
- Design and develop equipment and processes, analysing equipment and process specifications / requirements
- Ensure that designs are completed within the specified timescale
- Liaise with manufacturers, component su! ppliers and other departments to coordinate project plans !
- Develop / maintain technical procedures, documentation and electronic manuals
- Compile and analyse operational data and direct tests to establish standard for new designs or modifications
- Use CAD and associated peripheral equipment and software or manual drafting techniques to perform scaling dimensioning, or line locating
- Estimate the cost, time, and resources required for repair projects
- prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates
- Previous experience required in project design within a heavy industrial environment
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification ONC / HNC
- Able to interpret mechanical material specifications and calculate loads / stresses
- Used to working in a multi-disciplined team
