Independant Safeguarding and Reviewing Officer

Location: Wrexham Wales

Medicor Global are currently recruiting for an Independent Reviewing Officer in Wrexham. This is a contract role until the end of March 2014.

The role will include acting as lead officer in co-ordinating an effective inter-agency response to children in need including children in need of protection and children looked after.

Responsibilities will include:

• Develop and ensure good consistent and effective practice, in line with statutory, departmental and inter-agency standards! .
• To chair meetings within the Integrated Children's ! System (i.e. Children in Need, Child Protection Conferences and Reviews and Looked After Children Reviews)
• Working within and implementing relevant legislation
• Working within and implementing relevant statutory guidance and frameworks
• In addition working within Departmental Policies, procedure and guidelines that complement statutory obligations.

To apply for this role candidates must have:

• Ideally worked as a senior practitioner or above within the childcare setting
• Be fully registered with the CCW
• Hold a recognised social work qualification
• Able to reside and work in the UK
