Cantref are looking to recruit a Senior Systems Administrator to manage Cantref's fixed and mobile information systems in order to ensure they are effective, available and secure. You will be able to pl! an, organise and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be in line with Cantref's policies and procedures.You will have a Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline. Vendor certifications for relevant products such as Mimecast email management, Hyper-V, Windows Server 2008/2012 and Apple iOS devices is desirable. The criteria is Desirable.
To manage Cantref's fixed and mobile information systems in order to ensure they are effective, available and secure as directed by the Performance and Regulation ManagerService delivery (and tenants)Ensures high availability and performance of mission critical computer resources.Ensures high availability and performance of Cantref's LAN and WAN.Manage, maintain, support, troubleshoot and optimise the mobile solutions presently in place while making suggestions and adjustments for future needs to the Performance and Regulation Manager. Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, lea! ds problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and! other support personnel and/or organizations.Install, modify and maintain systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provide server support related to other software.Develop new system and application implementation plans, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.Provides leadership in planning and implementation of projects for computer operations and systems administration.Work with other departments to identify how services can be improved.Represent Cantref at CHC Network and other similar meetings, and Stays current with technological developments in systems administration and mobile computing.
